About Become Banker

Become Banker is the BFSI training and recruitment brand of SForce Recruitment Pvt Ltd, based in Surat, Gujarat and working in this field since 2019. We do two things: run our own 90-day banking, insurance, finance and fintech programs, and help graduates apply to the hire-and-train programs run by partner banks and insurers. More about who we are.

No. We are a private training and recruitment company — not a bank, not an insurer, and not connected to IBPS, SBI, RBI or any government recruitment board. We do not conduct government bank exams and we cannot place anyone into a government bank job. Every bank and insurer named on this site is an independent company that makes its own hiring decisions; we train candidates and refer them.

Our office is at 404, Sunday Hub, Aamba Talavadi, Aadarsh Society, Katargam, Surat, Gujarat 395004, and you are welcome to visit during office hours (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Mon–Sat). You do not have to, though — training is delivered online and most candidates from other cities never visit us. Interviews happen wherever the hiring branch is. Directions and contact details.

You need to be able to hold a conversation with a customer in Hindi or English — our banking program lists that as an eligibility requirement, not a preference. You do not need flawless English. The IRDAI IC-38 exam is available in English, Hindi and several regional languages. What an interviewer checks is whether a customer would understand you, not your grammar.

Eligibility & admission

Most programs need a graduate degree in any discipline — B.Com, BBA, BA, B.Sc and others all qualify — and no prior experience. Beyond that each program sets its own bar: the Axis Sales Academy needs 50%+ in graduation, age 21–28 and a two-wheeler with a valid licence, while HDFC Life Smart Achievers takes any graduate but selects through an online assessment and an interview. Read the eligibility list on the program page before you apply.

For our own 90-day programs, yes — final-year students are welcome and can train while results are pending. Partner hire-and-train programs are different: they hire you into a job, so most want the degree completed and the marksheet in hand. Tell the counsellor your result date and they will tell you which route is actually open to you now.

It depends on the program, and the limits belong to the hiring partner rather than to us. Axis Sales Academy takes candidates aged 21–28. Our banking program lists 18–27 and the insurance program 18–30. HDFC Life Smart Achievers publishes no age band. If you fall outside a limit, say so on the call instead of applying and being filtered out later.

Sometimes, and it varies by program. Axis Sales Academy requires 50% or above in graduation. Our own programs and HDFC Life Smart Achievers publish no marks cut-off. Backlogs and gap years are judged case by case by the employer, and we cannot promise you how a particular bank will treat yours. What we can do on the counselling call is tell you which programs your profile clears before you spend anything.

No. Every program on this site is for graduates, and a partner bank's HR filter will reject a non-graduate application regardless of how good the candidate is. If you are still studying, finish the degree first — here is what is worth doing in the meantime.

No. Every program here accepts a graduate degree in any discipline. Banks teach product knowledge themselves; what they screen for is communication, willingness to do customer-facing work and basic numeracy. A commerce degree helps in credit and operations roles, but it is not a gate.

Axis Bank runs a 3-month Operations Program open to women candidates only, joining as Assistant Manager — Customer Service Officer. Every other program on this site is open to applicants of any gender.

Programs & training

Our own banking, insurance, finance & NBFC and fintech programs run about 90 days. Partner pathways vary a great deal: Axis Sales Academy is 6 days of virtual training before you join, the Equitas Ignite program is 2 weeks, and HDFC Life Smart Achievers runs 8 months since August 2026 — 1 month of residential classroom training at Manipal's Bengaluru campus, 1 month on the job, then a 6-month paid internship. The duration is stated on every program page.

Our 90-day programs are blended: live online classes with optional classroom sessions, so candidates from any city can attend. Partner programs set their own format — the Axis Sales Academy's 6 days are fully virtual, and HDFC Life Smart Achievers opens with a month of residential, physical classroom training at Manipal's Bengaluru campus before you move into a branch — it was online until August 2026, and is not any more.

A smartphone and a stable internet connection are enough for our classes; a laptop makes assessments easier. Two partner programs carry hard requirements worth knowing before you enrol: Axis Sales Academy needs a valid driving licence and access to a two-wheeler because the role is field sales, and HDFC Life Smart Achievers requires you to own or buy a tablet before the on-the-job phase, which is month 2 of its 8-month structure.

It is a program run by a bank or insurer where you are selected first and then trained for a specific role you have already been shortlisted for — rather than taking a general course and looking for a job afterwards. The upside is that the job is defined from day one. The trade-offs are real: the role is usually sales, the fee where there is one goes to the program provider, and the partner sets the terms. How these programs work in practice.

Most partner pathways — HDFC Bank Future Bankers, Axis Young Bankers, IDFC FIRST Emerging Bankers, the Kotak, Equitas, Aditya Birla Capital and TATA AIG programs, and HDFC Life Smart Achievers — are delivered with UNext / Manipal Academy of BFSI, which designs the curriculum and awards the certificate. HDFC Life Smart Achievers, for example, awards a Post Graduate Certificate in Life Insurance (PGCLI). For those programs the fee is payable to Manipal or the partner, never to Become Banker.

One is: the Axis Sales Academy. Axis Bank charges nothing for it and neither do we — 6 days of virtual training, then you join as a Business Development Executive. It is also field sales with a two-wheeler requirement, which is a large part of why it is free. Every other program on this site has a fee, paid either to us or to the program provider. What 'free' should and should not mean.

Fees, EMI & refunds

Our core 90-day program fee is ₹45,000, with EMI from ₹2,999 a month and 0% interest for up to 6 months. Partner program fees are set by the provider, not by us, and vary widely: Axis Sales Academy is ₹0, HDFC Life Smart Achievers is ₹1,16,820 including GST payable to Manipal (raised from ₹88,500 in August 2026, and it now covers stay and meals for the residential month), and the rest are confirmed on the counselling call. The counselling call itself costs nothing.

For our own 90-day programs, you pay Become Banker. For partner hire-and-train pathways you pay the program provider — usually Manipal Academy of BFSI — directly, and we never collect that fee. Treat anyone who asks you to transfer a bank's training fee into a personal account as a fraud, whoever they claim to be.

No. There is no separate placement fee, no charge to attend an interview, and no commission taken out of your salary. If anyone claiming to represent us or a partner bank asks you to pay to attend an interview or to confirm an offer, it is not us — tell us on WhatsApp and we will look into it.

No. Certification fees are paid to the examining body, not to us: the NISM Series V-A exam is ₹1,500 + GST paid to NISM, and IC-38 costs are set through your sponsoring insurer. They are also non-refundable once the slot is booked, so book them only when you are sure of the date.

Within limits. There is a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of payment, provided the batch has not started or you have attended fewer than three sessions. After that the program fee is non-refundable. Exam fees, materials already issued and payment-gateway charges are never refundable, and partner-program fees are governed entirely by that provider's policy rather than ours. Read the full refund policy before you pay.

For our own 90-day programs, no — that is training, not employment. Some partner programs do pay during training: HDFC Life Smart Achievers pays from month 1 — ₹5,000 for the residential classroom month, ₹5,000 for the on-the-job month and ₹20,000 a month during the 6-month internship, before confirming you at ₹4 LPA. Axis Sales Academy trains for 6 days and then puts you into a paid role rather than paying a stipend.

Certifications & exams

The statutory ones are. NISM is established by SEBI, and its Series V-A certificate is what an AMFI ARN requires; IRDAI's IC-38 is the exam behind an insurance agent licence. Both are recognised across banks, NBFCs, AMCs and insurers in India. A course-completion certificate from us, or a PGCLI from Manipal, is an industry credential — genuinely useful, but not a statutory licence and not a university degree, and we would rather be clear about the difference. Compare the two exams.

IC-38 is the pre-licensing exam for insurance agents, conducted by the Insurance Institute of India for IRDAI. It is 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, the pass mark is 18 out of 50, and there is no negative marking. It is available in English, Hindi and several regional languages, and IRDAI-mandated training comes before the exam. One caveat worth knowing: neither IRDAI nor the Insurance Institute publishes the pattern or the fee on a public page, so confirm the current rules with your sponsoring insurer. A 14-day study plan for IC-38.

₹1,500 plus GST, paid to NISM — gateway charges are extra, so do not budget an exact all-in figure. The exam is 100 questions in 120 minutes with a 50% pass mark and no negative marking, taken on a computer at a NISM test centre. The certificate is valid for 3 years and renewed through CPE. Full NISM V-A guide.

No — you join first and certify during the program. For IC-38 in particular you cannot simply book the exam yourself: an insurer or corporate agent has to sponsor your candidature, which is why the joining route normally comes before the exam rather than after it. Which of the two you actually need.

Placement & jobs

What we guarantee is placement assistance, not a job, and the difference matters. You receive interview opportunities with our hiring partners, and we keep arranging them, subject to completing the program and meeting its attendance and assessment criteria. The hiring decision belongs to the employer. No institute can honestly promise you a job — if one does, that alone should tell you something.

Our hiring partners include HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, HDFC Life, TATA AIG and Bajaj Finance, among others. Rather than take a logo wall on trust, look at the roles and employers candidates actually joined. Become Banker is an independent training and recruitment company and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of these companies.

For fresher BFSI roles through our own programs the indicative range is ₹2.4–4 LPA, depending on the role, the employer and the city. Partner programs state their own: HDFC Life Smart Achievers confirms at ₹4 LPA plus incentives, from month 9. Two honest caveats — a meaningful part of any sales-role package is variable incentive that depends on hitting targets, and individual outcomes vary. What freshers are actually paid in BFSI.

Interview opportunities start as you finish the program and continue until you are placed — that is what the assistance commitment means in practice. We do not publish an average, because it genuinely depends on your profile, the cities you can work in and which partners are hiring that month, and a made-up average would be the least useful thing on this page. Your counsellor can tell you what is open right now.

Often yes, at least within your region. Branch roles are filled where the branch has a vacancy, and joining locations are set by the employer, not by us. Tell your counsellor which cities you can realistically work in before you apply — a location mismatch is one of the most common reasons a good candidate drops out after being selected.

Placement assistance continues: you keep receiving interview opportunities with our hiring partners for as long as you have met the program's completion, attendance and assessment criteria. It does not convert into a refund — the refund policy is separate and time-bound, and finishing the program does not create a right to one.

The job itself

Most entry-level BFSI roles we place into are customer-facing and carry a target. A Business Development Executive or Relationship Officer spends the day meeting or calling customers, sourcing accounts, insurance or loans, and reporting against a monthly number. Desk-based roles exist in operations, KYC and customer service — there are fewer of them and they usually start lower. A closer look at the relationship manager role.

Mostly, yes — and you should hear that from us rather than in month two. For a fresher with no exam and no experience, the fastest routes into a private bank or an insurer are sales and branch-facing roles: field sales at Axis Sales Academy, advisory life-insurance sales at HDFC Life. They come with targets and with pressure. They also carry the fastest promotion ladder in BFSI. If you already know sales is not for you, say so on the counselling call — we would rather lose the enrolment than place you into a job you will leave in three months. The honest pros and cons of the field-sales route.

It depends on the employer and the program, and it is the single most important thing to confirm before you accept any offer. HDFC Life Smart Achievers confirms you into an on-role HDFC Life position (Band 2) on successful completion. For any other role, ask the interviewer directly whether the payroll is the bank's or a staffing partner's, and check that the offer letter says so — bring it to your counsellor and we will read it with you.

Each partner publishes its own progression path on its program page, and that is the most reliable place to look, because the ladder belongs to the employer. The general pattern in BFSI is that consistent target achievement moves people faster than qualifications do, and a first sales role is what opens the non-sales ones later. How BFSI careers usually progress.
