Banking Courses With Placement — Compared
Fees, duration and the job you actually join as — for all 16 programs we run, including the one that costs nothing. Plus the tests that separate a real placement-linked course from a scam.
What "with placement" actually means
"With placement" means the course ends with real interviews at named hiring partners — not a job in your hand. A genuine program gets you in front of employers and prepares you for their process. You still have to clear the interview. Anyone who promises a guaranteed job or a fixed salary in writing is selling you something they cannot deliver.
So read the phrase honestly. A placement-linked course buys you access, training and preparation. It does not buy the hiring decision — that belongs to the bank or the insurer. Before you judge any provider, including us, read what our placement support does and does not cover.
Independence: Become Banker is the brand of SForce Recruitment Pvt Ltd, an independent training and recruitment partner in Surat, Gujarat, working Pan-India. We are not HDFC Bank, HDFC Life, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDFC FIRST Bank, Equitas Small Finance Bank, TATA AIG or Aditya Birla Capital. We train and refer candidates; those companies decide who they hire.
If you are not sure which of these you even qualify for, run the eligibility checker first — it takes a minute and it will tell you honestly when the free route is the one to take.
How to tell a real placement-linked program from a scam
Run every course you are considering through these seven tests. They cost nothing and take one phone call.
1. Is the hiring partner named?
A real program tells you the company, the role title and the grade you would join at. "HDFC Bank, Deputy Manager (L2) - Personal Banker" is a named partner. "Top MNC banks", "leading private banks" and "50+ tier-1 companies" are not. If nobody will put a company name in writing, there is no partner. Ask for the role title exactly as it would appear on the offer letter.
2. Is the fee written down?
You should get one number, with GST stated. Our HDFC Life programme is Rs 88,500 — Rs 75,000 plus 18% GST. That is what a written fee looks like. A fee that changes between calls, or a "discount only if you pay today", is a sales trick. Some bank programs genuinely do not publish a fee and confirm it on the counselling call. That is acceptable only if the number then reaches you in writing before you pay.
3. Who exactly are you paying?
Pay a registered company, by bank transfer or on the company's own payment page, and get an invoice carrying the company name, address and GST number. Never pay an individual. Not a counsellor's personal UPI ID, not a Google Pay number, not cash without a receipt. This one rule stops most course scams in India. If the person collecting your money is a person and not a company, walk away.
4. Offer letter before or after training?
Both models exist and both can be legitimate. Some bank programs are hire-and-train: you are selected first and trained after. Others train first and then put you through the partner's interview. What matters is that they tell you plainly which one applies to your program before you pay. If the answer changes each time you ask, you already have your answer.
5. Is there a bond?
Many bank programs come with a service agreement or bond. A bond is not automatically bad. A bond you learn about after paying is. Ask three things: how many months, what is payable if you leave early, and can I see the clause now. Get the reply on email, not on a call.
6. Does the eligibility match reality?
Every one of the 16 programs we run requires graduation. Not one accepts a 12th-pass candidate. If a course tells someone with 10+2 that it can place them as a bank officer, it is lying to close a sale. Be equally careful the other way: Axis Sales Academy needs graduation with 50% or more, age 21 to 28, a valid driving licence and access to a two-wheeler. A provider that waves those away is not the one who decides.
7. Is anything "guaranteed" in writing?
No training company can guarantee another company's hiring decision. So a written "100% guaranteed job", a promised joining date or a fixed monthly salary in a brochure is either a lie or a promise the seller cannot keep. Real programs describe interview access, training and support instead.
Two more red flags: being asked to pay to "release" a certificate or joining letter after training, and being asked for a fee by someone claiming to be from the bank itself. Banks do not charge candidates to join. Nor do we, beyond the published fee.

These are the 16 programs on our own site, cheapest first. Nothing is estimated. Where a fee is not published, the row says so rather than guessing.

Read the top row again. Axis Sales Academy costs nothing — no application fee and no training fee at any stage — and it still ends in a field-sales job at an Axis Bank branch, usually within about 10 km of home, on a fixed salary plus performance incentives and medical benefits, confirmed on the counselling call. That free row is the benchmark. Every paid course here, and every paid course anywhere else, should have to explain what it gives you that the free one does not.
All 16 are listed with full eligibility on the programs page, and the two ends of the range have their own detail pages: the 90-day Banking Program at Rs 45,000 and HDFC Bank Future Bankers 2.0 at Rs 2,54,228 plus GST.
What the fee actually buys
A course fee pays for four things. Be blunt about each.
- Training time. Two weeks to 12 months. Longer is not automatically better — only if the extra months are structured and assessed.
- A certification, sometimes. Axis Sales Academy funds a banking certification. Elsewhere, check whether the exam fee sits inside the course fee or outside it.
- Interview access to a named partner. This is the real product, and it is worth paying for only when the partner is named and the fee is proportionate.
- Documentation and onboarding help. Useful, but the smallest part of the value.
Here is the sanity check most people skip. NISM Series V-A — the SEBI-established institute's exam for mutual fund distributors — costs Rs 1,500 plus GST, with payment gateway charges extra. It is 100 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes with a 50% pass mark, and you can book it yourself at an NISM centre with your PAN. Apply that to our own pricing rather than a hypothetical one: our core 90-day banking program is Rs 45,000, so if you thought you were mainly buying the certificate, you would be paying about Rs 43,500 for the training, the interview access and the counselling around it. That may well be a fair deal. Just be clear that is what you are buying, and hold every other provider to the same arithmetic.
IRDAI's IC-38 works differently: training before the exam is mandatory, and you normally need an insurer to sponsor you, so you cannot simply book it on your own. Fees vary and are not published by the regulator, so treat any fixed figure you are quoted as that provider's price, not an official one.
One more way to judge proportion. HDFC Bank Future Bankers 2.0 costs Rs 2,54,228 plus GST against a starting CTC of Rs 5,80,000, and its stated track record is 3,500+ placed. That is roughly half a year's gross pay, up front, for a 12-month route into a Deputy Manager (L2) role. For some people that maths works. For others it does not, and there is no shame in saying so on the call. We have written that one up in full — our honest review of HDFC Future Bankers does the fee arithmetic properly and says plainly who should not take it.
Who should not pay for a banking course
We would rather lose the sale than take money from someone who should not spend it. If any of these describe you, do not pay us, and do not pay anyone else either.
- You cannot afford the fee. Do not borrow from an instant-loan app, do not put it on a high-interest personal loan, and do not let anyone in your family pledge gold for it. A course fee is a bet on an interview. Never fund a bet with debt you cannot service.
- You qualify for the free program. If you are a graduate with 50% or more, aged 21 to 28, with a driving licence and a two-wheeler, do Axis Sales Academy first. Paying for a course when the free route is open to you is money burned, and we will tell you that on the call.
- You have not applied to any bank directly yet. Banks hire freshers on their own careers pages, and that costs nothing. Spend two weeks applying with a clean CV — our free resume creator builds one — before you spend a rupee.
- Your real goal is a government bank job. Public-sector banking goes through competitive exams such as IBPS and SBI PO or Clerk. A private-bank placement course will not help you clear them. Buy exam preparation instead, or nothing.
- You have not graduated yet. Every program here needs a degree. Final-year students are welcome on the core 90-day programs, but if you are earlier than that, wait.
- You do not want a sales or field role. Most entry-level banking jobs, including the ones above, carry targets and customer-facing work. If you know you will hate that, the fee will not fix it.
- You cannot travel to the branch you would be posted at. Ask where the role is based before you pay, not after.
Questions to ask before you pay
Read these out on the counselling call. Any provider worth your money answers all ten without hesitating.
- Which company would I be placed with, and what is the exact role title and grade?
- What is the total fee, including GST, and can I have that in writing today?
- Which registered company do I pay, and can I have an invoice with your GST number?
- Do I get an offer letter before training or after?
- Is there a bond or service agreement? For how long, and what is the exit amount?
- What is the refund policy if I drop out in week one, and where is it written?
- Are the certification exam fees included, or do I pay them separately?
- Where would I be posted, and how far is that from my home?
- What happens if I do not clear the partner's interview — what do I get then?
- Am I eligible for any free program instead of this one?
Question ten is the honest one. Ask it of us too. If the answer is yes, take the free route.
If the answer is no, here is what to do instead
Deciding not to buy is a real outcome and often the right one. Apply directly to banks on their own careers pages. Sit the NISM Series V-A exam yourself for Rs 1,500 plus GST and add it to a CV tidied up by the free resume builder. Check whether the free Axis Sales Academy route is open to you. Come back to the paid programs only if those have not worked, and only when you can pay without borrowing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a banking course with placement mean a guaranteed job?
No. It means the course ends with real interviews at a named hiring partner. You still have to clear the interview. No training company can guarantee another company hiring decision, and any written guarantee of a job or a fixed salary is a warning sign.
How do I know a banking course with placement is genuine?
Four tests. The hiring partner is named on paper. The fee is a written figure with GST shown. You pay a registered company by bank transfer or its own payment page, never an individual by UPI. And the bond, refund and offer-letter terms are given to you in writing before you pay.
Is there a free banking course with placement?
Yes. Axis Sales Academy is 100% free with no application fee and no training fee at any stage. It is 6 days of virtual training and a funded banking certification, then a Business Development Executive (Officer - Sales) role at an Axis Bank branch near your home, usually within about 10 km. It needs graduation with 50% or more, age 21 to 28, a valid driving licence and access to a two-wheeler.
Can a 12th-pass student join a banking course with placement?
Not with us. All 16 of our programs require graduation in any discipline. Final-year students are welcome on the core 90-day programs. If a course tells a 12th-pass candidate it can place them as a bank officer, treat that as a lie.
How much do banking courses with placement cost?
Ours range from Rs 0 for Axis Sales Academy to Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 for the core 90-day programs, Rs 88,500 for HDFC Life Smart Achievers (Rs 75,000 plus 18% GST) and Rs 2,54,228 plus GST for HDFC Bank Future Bankers 2.0. Several bank programs publish no fee and confirm it on the counselling call.
Should I pay a course only to get a NISM certificate?
No. The NISM Series V-A exam fee is Rs 1,500 plus GST, with payment gateway charges extra, and you can register yourself at an NISM centre with your PAN. A course fee should be buying you training and interview access, not the certificate itself.
Who should not pay for a banking course?
Anyone who would have to borrow at high interest to afford it. Anyone who qualifies for the free Axis Sales Academy. Anyone who has not yet applied to banks directly. And anyone whose real target is a government bank job, because those go through competitive exams such as IBPS and SBI PO or Clerk, which a private-bank course does not help you clear.
